“He was among the delegation of Chiefs that visited
Washington D.C in the winter of 1821.”
“He was killed in battle in 1826 by a war party of Osage
indian’s that raided his village.” “He was a firm, determined man,
an expert hunter and fearless warrior” – McKenney recalled.
“McKenney was the Superintendent of Indian Affairs in early 1900’s.
He commissioned oil portraits of the Indian Chiefs when they went
to Washington D. C to sign peace treaties.”
